Lots of nice campgrounds around Duluth. Some on Lake Superior, some on inland lakes. Are you tent camping or travel trailers? How far from Duluth do you want to be? Two harbors has a great campground on Lake Superior.

Jay Cooke State Park is just outside Duluth and on a beautiful river. They may have a rustic camping cabin if you can catch it online - they reserve fast but are awesome!

I agree with creason, J. Cooke is a great place to camp just outside Duluth. On the north side of Duluth, along the scenic highway between Duluth and Two Harbors, there are several places that rent cabins. Most are on the Lake. Some also offer camping.
