What to do on Easter Sunday?

Any suggestions on what to do on Easter Sunday? I%26#39;ll be staying in Bloomington that day/night and malls, shopping are closed for the day.

Any suggestions on where to eat and what to do that day?

What to do on Easter Sunday?

Bloomington is tough if the mall is closed and the weather likely to be a bit messy -- snow and slush, most likely.

The only restaurant I would recommend is David Fong%26#39;s, but it is closed on Sundays. Unfortunately, much of Bloomington%26#39;s options are chain -- classic suburbia.

If you get lucky with the weather, the best bet would be to take I-494 west to Penn Avenue and take a right, heading north until you hit Lake Harriet. Beautiful area, beautiful homes. Good for a nice stroll over to the band shell and people watching. Again, dependent on weather.

Wish I could be of more help, but I%26#39;ll try to think of something before I leave work today.

What to do on Easter Sunday?

I would probably try to find a great brunch (Easter or otherwise) - if you%26#39;re lucky, there might be live gospel music. Here are a couple up-to-date links:

It%26#39;s not supposed to be warm, but it would be great weather for a brisk hike around the lakes, along E or W River Road or at one of the parks (threeriversparkdistrict.org). Just watch out for the ice. Also, if you%26#39;re not outdoorsy this time of year, I would think the big museums would be open regular hours.

Or simply enjoy cozying up somewhere in front of a fire to read, sip or just enjoy the view.

Apologies, I%26#39;m not coming up with much. With the weather and the closures -- and the fact that it%26#39;s Bloomington -- I%26#39;m a bit stumped.

I would try to find a brunch -- sure to be some available -- and maybe do a spa thing. Have some ';me'; time until you get to a day where things are open.

Although if weather ends up cooperating -- Lake Harriet.

Sunday Brunch at the top of the IDS Tower is really nice. They really do it up for holidays. I%26#39;ve done X-Mas %26amp; Thanksgiving there, but not yet an easter.

Here%26#39;s some info --
