Hello
Is the Endless Bridge at the Guthrie theater accessible without a tour? I cannot quite figure out from the website if it is a public space?
thank you!
Endless Bridge
Hiya Alice...
From the Guthrie :
You do not need a ticket to a play to enjoy the level four and five lobbies, the ';endless bridge,'; Cue at the Guthrie or the Level 5 Caf茅.

it%26#39;s open when the Guthrie is open.
Take the escalator up to the 4th floor - and you%26#39;ll be at the beginning of the long bridge. The last portion of it is outside.
While you%26#39;re up there, find the elevator up to the 9th floor lookout too. Unique view/tint on Minneapolis.
Alice, yes, you can visit the Endless Bridge on your own. When you enter the lobby, take the escalator up to the fourth floor. From there you can walk up the ramp to the bridge. There are many windows which provide different views as you walk up the ramp. These windows were placed by Jean Nouvel (architect of the builidng) for the specific views; my favorite is the one that frames the big Gold Medal Flour sign at the Mill City Museum down the street.
In addition to the Bridge, you can also take the elevator from the fifth floor up to the ninth floor to visit the lobby of the Dowling Studio theater. The Amber Box (so named because it is enclosed with yellow glass) affords great views of the Mississippi River and beyond.
If you are interested and have time, there are self-guided tours (as well as scheduled backstage tours) available. You get an ipod at the box office and can wander the public areas of the theater. Information is available here:

Hope this helps.
Aaah ok thanks for clarifying that for me, great stuff! Thank you everyone :)
