we have been told that sweetgrass cove guesthouse, grand portage, is a wonderful place to stay.
their website is a little confusing to us.
has anyone stayed there?
we assume there are 3 separate bedrooms with some shared facilities. do the bedrooms have their own bathrooms or is one bathroom shared between the three?
any other info would be appreciated.
it%26#39;s a long way from sydney to grand portage and we would like to make sure things are right for us.
Sweetgrass Cove Guesthouse, Grand Portage
It is fabulous and at the top of our lodging list. If you want to make it extra special, arrange for Rick%26#39;s supper and spa services, he%26#39;s awesome!
There is one loft bedroom with twin beds that can be pushed together to serve as a king. Then there is a common area where another sleeping arrangement can be set up. There is only one bathroom.
Not sure when you%26#39;re going, but I would be a little wary going during the summer. I hear the insects are really bad if there%26#39;s been rain. It%26#39;s set on the shoreline and has deep forest all around the house. However, if you%26#39;re not adverse to slapping on the repellent, it shouldn%26#39;t be a problem. We usually go off-season spring or fall.
Also, the hottub is au naturale only. I%26#39;m not sure if shyness is an issue for your group.
Let me know if you%26#39;d like more info, it%26#39;s absolutely worth the stay!
