Hello
I need another recommendation for breakfast besides Hell%26#39;s Kitchen.
Thank you!
Breakfast in Minneapolis
Key%26#39;s Cafe maybe x2 blocks north of Hell%26#39;s Kitchen - it%26#39;s inside the Foshay Tower.
Breakfast in Minneapolis
Key%26#39;s is good.
I think the best breakfast near downtown is at Whitey%26#39;s, which is across the Mississippi River from downtown on Hennepin Ave.
Whitey%26#39;s Eggs and you can watch them squueze the grapefruit and oranges at the bar while you wait.
I%26#39;ve had breakfast there and walked a block to the Aveda Institute for a cheap massage (but you have to book a month in advance). Worth it, though. Nice way to spend a Sunday morning/afternoon.
In the Uptown Area:
French Meadow on Lyndale
The Uptown Diner on Hennepin
Bar Abeline on Lagoon
The most unique and delicious breakfast is Al%26#39;s Breakfast in Dinkytown, on campus at the University of Minnesota. I also like Ikes downtown on the weekends you get a complimentary enormous cinnamon roll for the table.
In my opinion, a Minneapolis visit is not complete without a visit to Al%26#39;s in Dinkytown! It is a literal hole-in-the-wall (with only 14 seats) but it is nationally known. If all the seats are full, you line up behind the seats to take the next avaiable (in turn, of course). Sometimes, the line can go out the door. For lunch, try Annie%26#39;s Parlor, just up the street from Als. Great burgers %26amp; shakes.
I agree with Key%26#39;s Cafe. Good portions for the money and it usually is busy.

After another visit to Whitey%26#39;s on Hennepin (just over bridge from downtown), I%26#39;m putting in another vote. The place is just outstanding -- never a zoo like Uptown Diner or most other places in Uptown or Downtown (or Dinkytown), justa nice relaxed environment with outstanding food. And you really can%26#39;t pass up a glass of fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice. It tastes like candy.
Al%26#39;s. Hands down!
I think Edina Grill @ 50th and France Ave. is fantastic.
