Time Frame for activities

My family is planning a long weekend to the cities and I am trying to figure out our daily activities on how long some of these things will take us. I know every family is different, but any suggestions would be helpful. How many hours (approximate) will it take us to see the MN Zoo, Science Museum, Kids Museum, and underwater world at the mall. Then I plan our weekend around how long these activities will take us.

Time Frame for activities

How old are your kids? This will certainly make a difference in how much time you have to spend.

Off the top of my head I would:

Allocate a full day between the science museum %26amp; children%26#39;s museum, it helps they are just a few blocks from one another. The hours at both vary so I would plan which day you will be in DT St. Paul and plan these accordingly.

Allocate close to a full day at the zoo primarily because its large and probably 20-30 minutes south of either downtown. The MOA is just a few minutes north of the zoo so you could probably to to Underwater World the same day.

The Mill City Museum is also supposed to be fantastic but sadly I have not been there and will leave it to one of my neighbors to the west to add more insight about this (and whatever I surely missed).

Good luck and have fun.

Time Frame for activities

Our kids are 8 and 4 years old if anyone has other suggestions for activities that 2 girls would enjoy.

Mill City Museum is an awesome place and I would consider 2-3 hours for that.

Wild Rumpus bookstore is also wonderful for both adults and kids. They have events on the weekends and have many different store pets to check out. Early morning would be more fun since that%26#39;s probably their feeding %26amp; play time? THere are also several fun kids stores in the area and right on next to one of the lakes if you%26#39;d like to walk or have a picnic there.

And I have to say my little sister LOVED the Walker Art Museum %26amp; Sculpture Garden. There%26#39;s an interactive exhibit where you talk to an animated dolphin, and lots of running %26amp; climbing to be had at the garden.

For kids that age I would do the childrens museaum and/or the science museum

The science museum and childrens museum are very close - it would be a good day - am at one then lunch then visit the second.

I love the Mill City Museum, but think that the 4 year old would be bored. They will love the Children%26#39;s Museum and parts of the Science Museum. The MN Zoo is great and has a lot of hands on type activities for kids plus cool dolphin and bird shows (the bird show is amazing). Underwater World is cool, but doesn%26#39;t take that long to go through (like 30-45 min max) and is pretty expensive for how long it lasts. There are good underwater exhibits at the Zoo as well.
