visit from uk

Hi my husband and l are coming to stay in Minneapolis for 3 weeks in June 08 can you recommend things to do

visit from uk

You are coming at the best time of year. We are cold here most of the time so when Summer is upon us everyone gets excited and happy. As for what to do. Of course I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ve heard of the Mall of America. Get your dose of American excess commercialism, it%26#39;s still fun. The arts and theater scene here is very big. The new Guthrie Theater is a great new modern venue. See a show or stop for drinks and the view over the river. Many other theaters: State, Ordway, Pantages, etc. offer great shows. The new Walker Art Center and Sculpture Garden have a wonderful collection of modern and POP art. A stroll around Lake Calhoun and the Uptown area to people watch or rent a canoe on Lake of the Isles is how many of us spend our Summer weekends. St. Paul, modern Minneapolis%26#39; more historic sister city, offers: The History Center, Science Center and Omni Theater. Also check out http://www.citypages.com for current events. Enjoy your visit!

enjoy - there%26#39;s alot you can do here

I have just had my friends from England here and they wanted to help see ';REAL';America they were here for 2 weeks. They did all the Mall of America the downtown dining.I made plans to bring them ';UP North'; our state has the most beautiful northern region..I would suggest seeing the ';North Shore area. get a cabin on Lake Superior after you are done seeing the city. it will be a great way to relax.try to spend about 5 days up there. The ';UP NORTH'; trip was the favorite part of my friends trip here, they are from Helston,Cornwall, They want to come back and spend a whole week up there next time.
