Our 5 day visit, a quick recap

Mom, dad, daughter and her college friend for five nights in mid-May. The light rail was easy to use and fun; cabs relatively available on the street but carry cab co tele numbers just in case; the Skyways are where all the action is, but they seemed to be closed late at night; the Local was an big, funn pub; Mall of America was nothing but a big mall with a little amusement park but a great aquarium; Bryant Lake Bowling was unique, cool theater and bowling; subsequent walk from bowling to Uptown neighborhood was fun and interesting; dinner at Barbette was very good; Loring Park and Sculpture Park were nice; Wirth Park for a walk and golf was ok(rented clubs avail); Bellanote was very nice for coffee and deserts; Bar Lurcat (the cafĂ© side) was wonderful for little (but good!) food plates, good drinks and park view; Heritage Trail and Stone Arch Bridge were highlights of a great walk -- St Anthony Falls and seeing a barge come through the lock (if lucky), not to be missed; Cue restaurant was probably too expensive for what we got; at Guthrie a very theatrical performance of Midsummer Night%26#39;s Dream; Newsroom was bar with good deserts; breakfasts at Keys were good, while at Hell’s Kitchen quite good but more expensive; Holiday Inn Express (11th and 3rd) was very good value with clean/new pool and whirlpool.
