Downtown Minneapolis bars off the light rail

Can anyone give me a list of some fun bars that are not too far off the light rail? I%26#39;m headed to Minneapolis for a bachelorette party and we wanted to bar hop our way down the light rail.

Any suggestions?

The vast majority of stops (even before you reach downtown) have bars (hence the birth of the ever-growing-in popularity light rail pub crawl). But given it%26#39;s a bachelorette party, I think most of what you are looking for would be downtown where the northbound train terminates.

Perhaps you could describe what fun means to you in relation to a bar and we could pick out places that fit that definition. The places like the Cardinal (off 38th St. stop) and the Sunrise Inn (off 46th St. stop) are more of a tavern environment with regulars -- nothing clubby for sure. And they serve beer and wine -- no liquor.

Although you might want to stop at Franklin for the Joint. A bit rowdy like a biker bar, but rowdy guys like women too. Full bar there too.

I would get off at the stop before the metrodome

on Hennepin in downtown and there are a million

places right there. I would check out Seven, it is new and just great! Also, go to The Lodge website (thelodgebar.com I think) and reserve your bach. group for free cover and cheap drinks! I went there for a bach. party once and it was fun. I would

also check out sneaky pete%26#39;s and make the bride get on the stipper pole. Cute photo op.

have a great trip!

If you take the LRT to the end, you%26#39;re at B-party central.

within 2 blocks of the stop, you have:

Lodge Bar--Sneaky Petes--Brothers--Drink (I don%26#39;t generally recommend this bar because I%26#39;ve had bad experiences, but it%26#39;s a pop stop for crawls)--Urban Wildlife--The District/Rosens--The Loon--The Shouthouse--Glueks--Bootleggers--and a few nightclubs.
