Any 4th of July activities?

My husband has a project going on over the 4th in Maple Grove. Because we had to cancel our plans at home, the kids (three and one) and I are going to tag along. We are staying at the Holiday Inn with the little waterpark. I was wondering if anyone knows of any 4th of July activities (fireworks, etc?)

In St Paul, lots of free music, fireworks etc...this is where my family goes for a great 4th...VERY CROWDED..but worth it...enjoy

Just a warning that the event that might be the closest to your location would be in Plymouth, and according to the city%26#39;s site it is on July 2, not July 6.

But it is a great event and VERY popular.

It%26#39;s a somewhat long drive from Maple Grove to St. Paul, but the Taste of Minnesota (and its accompanying fireworks) would be worth it.

It%26#39;s a fantastic event. I can%26#39;t weigh in on the suburban fireworks because I haven%26#39;t been to any other than Edina in the burbs.
