I will be changing planes at Minneapolis airport and have 3 hours between flights, is there anything I can do in that time locally to the airport by cab?
3 hours in minneapolisThe closest thing is mall of america, but by the time you get out of customs and the time it takes to get back through security, you won%26#39;t have much time at all. It%26#39;s a big airport with lots of shops and stuff if you%26#39;d rather stay in it.
3 hours in minneapolisDarned...somebody in the state tourism office is missing a good deal. With all the transient connection type people what could they not use some space in the main terminal for a ';taste of MN'; store and include one of those mini-theaters to seat maybe 10-20 people for a 20 minute overview video of MN sights and regions. Sort of ';see what you%26#39;re missing and be sure to come back sometime.'; The state and metro area subsidize the airport to some extent so using a little space there would be fair. They could maybe showcase %26amp; sell some local products and crafts too.
As for the OP...I agree, not enough time and best to stay on the sterile side of security if this possible. If not possible then checking back through security will prove the time shortage but still allow some time in the Northstar Crossing shops.
I%26#39;d agree - not enough time.. but I%26#39;d recomment walk down to the end of the gates, whether you are in A B C D E or F, they all meet in the large main concourse.
There are typical shops, but some typically MN restaurants are Ike%26#39;s, Axel%26#39;s, and French Meadow.
They all have airport outlets of their restaurants.

Remember, no tax on clothes in MN.
I%26#39;d go have a nice dinner in the airport. I%26#39;ve never been to Locanda D%26#39;Amico, but D%26#39;Amico is local, has several different restaurant formats, and their Tuscan Chicken soup is spectacular.
Then go for a long walk to settle the food and prepare for the next leg of your trip.
