Hotel/Motel Questions

Hello!

My hubby and I along with another couple are traveling to MInneapolis/St. Paul from Duluth over Labor Day weeked to eat our fill of food on a stick at the Fair.

I would like to find a hotel/motel that either:

Has a two bedroom suite (like a Residence Inn which is way expensive and/or sold out that weekend) where we could stay in one suite, but each couple could have their own bedroom.

or

A hotel/motel with an outdoor pool. Being from Minnesota, I know fall is just around the corner. If it is nice Labor Day weekend, it would be fun to be able to be lay by a pool outside and enjoy some of our last nice weather.

We are not apposed to staying in the suburbs. I appreciate any advice anyone may have! Thank you! Kris :)

Hotel/Motel Questions

Finding a room anywhere during Labor Day weekend might be tough. The Republican National Convention is in town. They%26#39;re at the XCel center in St. Paul but I heard most hotels in the area are booked out. You might try a bed %26amp; breakfast -- maybe as far out as Stillwater.

Good luck! Have a fun time at the fair.

Hotel/Motel Questions

I think the ';hype'; that all local hotels will be full is just hype. I would caution you to stay away from downtown St. Paul and nearby areas, but I did a search on Orbitz just now, for Aug. 29-Sept. 1 and came up with several options - try Roseville, Eden Prairie, and even some options in Bloomington. It might be a few more bucks, but the MOA area could get you to the Fair using public transportation.

I would suggest trying to coordinate (if possible) your hotel with a fair park-n-ride.

Check out Marriott Minneapolis West. They have a special that includes two tickets to the fair, and did have room availability Labor Day weekend as of yesterday.

Good luck!
