We qre staying at the Westin and the last few reviews have been abysmal. What is the scoop on this place? We got it for $115 a night on Priceline and I was having a really hard time deciding, so I thought I give a star rating and let them pick- am I gonna be really sorry? Help!
The Westin?
I%26#39;m surprised at the reviews and the mishaps described in them. I think you%26#39;ll find that most posting on this board have not stayed there because it%26#39;s new and because we live here. But I have heard two people who really liked their room but thought the customer service was lacking (which seems to be par for new hotels with a new staff).
I will say that for $115 a night you might be able to put up with a few of these hiccups in customer service and enjoy the rooms and the excellent location of the Westin.
Also, I don%26#39;t know what Priceline%26#39;s cancellation policy is. Aren%26#39;t you locked into that reservation now?
If so, I would go into it without those reviews in mind. Who knows? Maybe you come away loving where you stayed.
Wish I could be of more help.
The Westin?
It%26#39;s close - in downtown
it%26#39;s convenient
it has pool
it%26#39;s new %26amp; in historic building (former bank)
great huge lobby (bar / restaurant)
I%26#39;d stay there for $115/night, but I live x3 blocks away. I think it%26#39;s a good price.
I%26#39;ve been to a few work function there, but not stayed there.
I%26#39;ve only heard from others the rooms are a bit smaller.

if you get a chance, have Sat or Sun brunch at Ike%26#39;s next door
I agree, $115 is a good price based on research and I just wanted a bit of reassurance. There are only two of us so hopefully we won%26#39;t be too cramped. I have requested a cityview room with a king bed and have received an email confirmation, so we will see. I%26#39;ll post after we stay and let all know what we thought. I generally like forum info better than reviews.
