Just read in the Star Tribune that Manny%26#39;s is moving from the Hyatt Regency to the Foshay Tower. Thought some of you would find that interesting.
Manny's moving
the W is going to Pimp it Up -
I%26#39;m glad they are moving.
I only hit Manney%26#39;s once. I%26#39;m a Capital Grill loyalist - although the ones in Boston are a bit better than the one in Minneapolis.
I think the W in the Foshay is to open towards the end of July.
Manny's moving
I%26#39;m not big on Manny%26#39;s like so many of my friends who rave about it. I like Murray%26#39;s. I like the classic spots that have been doing it for years. I like something with a little originality. Manny%26#39;s steaks are excellent though. Can%26#39;t deny them that. Just don%26#39;t think there%26#39;s much in the way of atmospehere in the current location. We%26#39;ll see what the W does in what I think is a better, more central location.
The funny thing is that as I was passing the Hyatt in my bus on the way home, I looked at the ugly edifice and thought - god the only reason this hotel even gets guests must be because of Manny%26#39;s.
I wonder if manny%26#39;s made the decision because a remodel is coming
Maybe, but I think the main factor was Manny%26#39;s had a shot at a premo location in a historic building. Great move for them. Might even lure me in -- away from Murray%26#39;s -- when I decide to pony up for a steak!
