Haven%26#39;t been there since my Aunt passed away about 5 years ago but still have some cousins in the area. Seemed to me to be a nice town typical of rural MN. U of M has a campus there. Cost of living is lower than average for MN but so are incomes. Winter can be extremely cold. Closest large city would be Grand Forks, ND about 40 miles West. The Red Lake River loops through town and has on occasion had flood issues in the Spring. The whole area, being in the Red River Valley, is extremely flat.
