Last minute getaway

My wife and I and a few others are trying to think of somewhere to go for the weekend. We do not drink, so we are not really looking for bars - just somewhere to hang out, relax, grill and maybe fish. Any ideas? keep in mind weather

The Detroit Lakes or Brainerd areas might work for what you would like. Either of those options sound good? Lots of good fishing lakes in all those areas.

Detroit lakes sound more interesting since we never been there. Any place out there u recommend?

The Lodge on the Lake is a really nice place (though a bit more highly priced than the others since its brand new and has lots of extras in the rooms)...Holiday Inn is also nice with a good restaurant in it and that is also lakefront. Vegas has some bed and breakfasts, and there is a bed and breakfast (not on a lake) in a nearby town that is made up old railroad cars. Acorn Lake Bed %26amp; Breakfast was very nice in nearby Frazee (about 8 minutes from DL) and right on that lake. All depends on what you%26#39;re looking for with price/location/amenities. D Dahls is a good steakhouse (the bar is the other side). I also like to eat at the Lakeview by the Pavillion (especially for lunch). Cute shops downtown and there is a spa at the Lodge at the Lake (as well as spa services at Hair on Willow which were good), if anyone in your party likes. And Shooting Star Casino is about a 45 minute drive North of Detroit Lakes. Lots of lakes to chose from for fishing too besides Big and Little Detroit.
