From Mt Rushmore to Chicago

Never been to Green Bay. Minneapolis is lovely, especially in the summer. They have Mall of America, outlet shops, the Art Museum, Valley Fair...it depends on what you think of as nice. Do you want shopping, attractions, quiet towns, big cities? And what types of things do you like to do on vacation? It%26#39;s definately different from Milan and different from Mt Rushmore too.

From Mt Rushmore to Chicago

tought question!...I live in Minneapolis, I%26#39;m not originally from the US...I might be bias because I really like the city but I can tell you that every single person that have come here to visit me from other states or from abroad have been very surprise of how nice the city is and all the different things the city has.

It is not NYC or Chicago but still have some urban flavor that many cities in the states lack, besides it is a very green city. Several nice museums worth visitin, nice restaurants, decent night life and outstanding outdoors.

I would say...stop by, check it out and then you will find out if it was nice or not. We could probably help with other questions.

Regarding Green Bay, I have never been there but Wisconsin is a very pretty state....very green and a lot pretty small towns worth seeing...

While driving through Minnesota there are tons to stop, see and experience. May I suggest after entering Minnesota on Hwy 14 stop in at Lake Benton, Minnesota. It is known as the Orignal Windpower Capital of the Midwest. If you%26#39;re interested in renewable energy the Heritage and Windpower Learning Center in Lake Benton can answer all the questions you may have. It%26#39;s a great little town with a lot happening. Need a rest let me suggest Becker%26#39;s Resort or the Benton House Bed %26amp; Breakfast. Lake Benton is 6 hours from Mt. Rushmore and 3.5-4 hours from Minneapolis.

Minneapolis/St. Paul area has a lot to discover.... MN Zoo is one of the best zoos I%26#39;ve seen in the U.S. It%26#39;s located in Apple Valley, south burb of the metro area. Minneapolis Institute of Art is free but has limited hours (check their web site). There%26#39;s a wonderful Landscape Arboreteum west of the metro. Como Zoo and Park is a nice place too (small price to pay to go into the greenhouse but it%26#39;s well worth it - and also don%26#39;t forget to see the Japanese Garden). Do some web searches for the area and you%26#39;ll find a wealth of information. The Mall of America is something that seems to draw people. Between all the shops and the center amusement park, there%26#39;s something for everyone. It has some goo restaurants there too - Kokomo%26#39;s, Bubba Gumps, Famous Dave%26#39;s. The Minneapolis area is diverse and you won%26#39;t be disappointed!

Minneapolis is a far better option than Green Bay.

It%26#39;s more than 3 times the size, full of theaters, parks, non-chain restaurants, shopping, etc.

Green Bay is a place to visit if you like American football and want to see the best and most historic stadium in the league and the accompanying complex.

Other than that, there just isn%26#39;t much I%26#39;ve found unique. Mid-level hotel chains, restaurant chains, mall shopping ....
