Fire works on the 4th in Duluth---East or West

Do they shoot the fire works off to the east over lake superior or to the west into the harbor area?

It%26#39;s been about 20 years since we saw fire works in Duluth. Where would be a good place to sit, by the lift bridge area or the beach area south of the lift bridge?

My Dads cousin use to run the lift bridge in the early 60%26#39;s.

Fire works on the 4th in Duluth---East or West

They shoot the fireworks from over near the Cargill grain elevators towards the lift bridge so they explode over the harbor. The best (and most crowded) place to watch them is from Bayfront Park (next to the DECC - or Duluth Arena, if you%26#39;ve been away for a while).

If you%26#39;re up the hill, you can see them from a lot of places, but they%26#39;re definitely over the harbor as opposed to over the lake.

Staying at the Lake head Boat Basin with a Scamp 13%26#39; trailer, this place is on the west side of the road just 2 blocks from the lift bridge.

You ought to have a perfect view from there.
