I was wondering if one is better than the other. We will be visiting July 25-30 and a lot of places are already booked or their discounted rates are gone for then. I really wanted to stay at the Marquette but wasn%26#39;t willing to pay over $200. Both the Embassy (on S 7th St %26amp; 4th Ave) and Radisson (S 7th ST. %26amp; 3rd Ave) are around $140. Since we have 5 nights the price difference really added up from the Marquette and others. We will be touring the city and surrounding parks. One day at MOA. I can%26#39;t seem to find any reviews here on the Embassy downtown. And another site had old reviews. The Radisson has a mixed bag of comments. Any help will be appreciated!! Thanks! :)
Downtown Hotels - Radisson vs. Embassy
When I plugged in Embassy Suites Minneapolis the downtown hotel came up with a review most recent of July 8th, 2008 with several others this year. The reviews look pretty bad for this hotel. I would choose the Raddison. It%26#39;s in a great location and the reviews are pretty good.
Downtown Hotels - Radisson vs. Embassy
Thanks! I plugged it in as well, and your right, looks pretty bad. I guess I was getting blurry eyed after looking stuff up online for hours!
Can you recheck those addresses? Also add the direction of the aves as well as the streets?
I can%26#39;t think of any raddisson where you have it listed.
if you mean the one at 35 S 7th street (between hennepin and nicollet-not 3rd ave), then that is definately the one I would pick.
These are the 2 radissons in/near downtown:
Radisson Hotel Metrodome
615 Washington Ave SE
Minneapolis, MN 55414
612-379-8888
Radisson Plaza Hotel Minneapolis
35 S 7th St
Minneapolis, MN 55402
612-339-4900
Thanks
Another vote for the Radisson for me. I have been to both of these places and would most definitely stay at the Radisson.
Thanks everyone, I booked the Radisson (35 S. 7th St) at $146 a night. Not a bad rate. I wasn%26#39;t daring enough to name my own price on Priceline. I read a few reviews where people were able to book rooms at a couple of the swankier places for way less. Maybe I%26#39;ll get daring one day and do that. But for now...the Radisson it is. Can%26#39;t wait to get there! It will be a change from this little ol%26#39; town. Ah...the smell of bus fumes and busy people rushing everywhere. And not a palm tree in sight! Have a blessed day!
Good choice on the Radisson. Nice hotel. Good, central location. The bed I slept in there was the most comfortable I can remember at a hotel.
