airport - transport to/from the two terminals

Last time I was there, one had to wait for a shuttle bus to get from Humphrey to Lindbergh and vice versa...big pain and the wait for the shuttle could be long.

There was signs for light rail, but it wasn%26#39;t operational.

If it is now working, how easy is it to go between terminals? How much time should one allow?

Are there any rental car returns at Humphrey or are they all at Lindbergh?

Thanks

The light rail is running - clean %26amp; new - and free between the two terminals.

Allow maybe 10 min between the two - to get to and from the light rail spots in both airports.

Here%26#39;s a handy map -

I don%26#39;t know about car rental at Humphrey.

10 minutes at peak times between trains (the the ride time) but off-peak it can be 20 minutes. Still it is a very nice way to change terminals. The downside is that even if not transfering if there is a long layover between flights I don%26#39;t think a Humphrey gate ticket will allow access to the better food services at Lindbergh...which are all behind security. It would be nicer if they had a transfer method that stayed on the sterile side of both terminals.

I rented at Humphrey terminal this week, it was faster and less work than at Lindbergh (which is frankly easy too). You return the car to Humphrey. It was Hertz, but it looked like all of the majors were there.

If your end destination is MSP you shouldn%26#39;t need to change terminals. If you are switching to another airline it could be a slight pain in the neck.

Good luck
