Hello!
Myself and 3 friends are heading to St.Paul/Minni for the So You Think You Can Dance show at the Xcel Energy Center in October. We are looking for a hotel that is ';suite style'; (2x queen/doubles and a sofa bed). Any recommendations for hotels? We would either like to be close to the Xcel Energy Centre or the Mall of America. Any advice you may have would be great!
Thanks!
Katie
where to stay? close to MOA or Xcel Centre? help!
My favorite suite style hotels are Marriott Residence Inn%26#39;s. There is one in Bloomington which is where the Mall of America is. They have one or two bedroom suites with a kitchen and living room. The kitchens have fridges, stoves and dishwashers as well as plates, cutlery, toaster etc. Residence Inns also have free breakfasts.
Another hotel that is a couple of minutes from Mall of America is Radisson Hotel Bloomington by Mall of America. Some of their rooms have multibed set ups. I don%26#39;t think they have kitchens though.
Inputting a search of Bloomington, MN, also shows other suite style hotels. I haven%26#39;t stayed at any of those, though. There are several hotels directly across the street from MOA, so perhaps you could find a suite hotel which is walking distance to MOA.
where to stay? close to MOA or Xcel Centre? help!I agree about the Mall of America area.
If you don%26#39;t mind suburban mall sprall you may find that a good choice.
The Embassy suites in Bloomington may fit your needs. It is near the mall and has a free happy hour.
Someone mentioned the Embassy Suites Bloomington. Note that there are two: one near the airport, and another that is closer to France Avenue and Edina. Another Bloomingotn suite option is the Hyatt Place, between the airport and Mall of America.
For downtown Saint Paul, a 10-15 minute walk to Xcel Energy Center is another Embassy Suites that%26#39;s nice. They may also offer shuttle service.
Thanks everyone!!!
I think we are leaning towards the MOA area.
I will keep you posted!
