I am planning a trip to Minnesota from the UK, and wondered when the best time to visit is?
when is the best time to visit?
It depends a bit on what you want to come here for. If you want to ski or ride snowmobile, I%26#39;d suggest January or February. If you want to see the most flowers in bloom, especially the showy ladyslipper, our state flower, then you have to come in June. Late July and early August are typically the warmest months and can be drier, but sometimes we get some powerful storms then too. Our trees turn colors in late September to late October, depending on the year and the part of Minnesota you visit.
when is the best time to visit?
A matter of opinion, but I think late summer into fall is the best time by far.
It really does depend on what a person wants to do-- if you want snow and really cold cold weather, head here in January or February. If you want warmth, come in July or August. If you want to see leaves changing colors with crisp nights and no bugs, come in the fall. It all depends on what you want to do.
I think the end of September is best. Best weather and beautiful foliage. No bugs!
