We recently spent 5 days in Minneapolis and thanks to all the great suggestions from this forum we had a great time. We are already thinking about places we want to see on our next visit hopefully same time next year. We stayed at the Homewood Inn by the mall and it was GREAT!!! We rode the light rail train into the city every day. We took in museums, theatres, well known and recommended restaurants and bars. We even went out to the Mystic Lake Casino to see the Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons concert. It was great but the smoke in the casino I could do without. We ate at Hell%26#39;s Kitchen for breakfast, Nye%26#39;s for supper and had a great time at Shouts one evening. The best place we ate was at Windows on Minnesota on the 50th floor of a downtown building. What an amazing view of your beautiful city. And the food was good too. Minniehaha Park was beautiful. We walked and walked - I don%26#39;t think I walked that much at disney!!
Thanks for all your great suggestions. I look forward to getting more next year.

We Had A Wonderful Visit
Glad you hit Hell%26#39;s Kitchen.
What did you sing at Nye%26#39;s.. at the Piano Bar?
Was the polka band playing next door?
Windows is great on Sundays, and even better during holidays.
We Had A Wonderful Visit
LOL we were a bit to shy to sing or dance at Nye%26#39;s but it certainly was an experience to observe. Not sure I have ever been anywhere quite like it or ever will be. Hell%26#39;s kitchen was great and we will go back again on our next trip. And Windows wsa amazing......a must see for any tourist. Next time we hope to find a hotel downtown as that is the area we want to spend our time in. It is an easy trip if want to do a few hours at the mnall.
We certainly had a great time and everyone was kind and helpful. Way to go Minneapolis!!!
