Questions re: bus tours and Hyatt Regency, etc.

Hi,

I will be in Minneapolis from Tuesday until Saturday of next week. I will arrive before noon on Tuesday and was thinking of taking one of those bus tours just to see the city and get my bearings. Is a good bus tour easy to access from the Hyatt on Nicolett?

Also, I am traveling with a friend that loves to go to bakeries-are there any that you would suggest in the area? What restaurants and regional things should we make sure to experience?

What are the things that are worth walking to or taking a cab to go see?

I%26#39;m really looking forward to the trip - I can%26#39;twait for the real fall weather and to see the sights.

Thanks so much for any advice!

Allie

Two bakeries that come to mind for me are French Meadow Bakery %26amp; Restaurant, and Wuollets (known for wedding cakes %26amp; treats). I know there are others, too.

I got married right across the street at the Millenium so, I know the area. Just going up and down Nicolett is fun. I really like The News Room for lunch or dinner. It has very cool decor and the food is good. Also, for breakfast I could go to Hell%26#39;s Kitchen, it sounds weird but it is bustling with families and has really good bread. You could see a show, there are many theatres in that area. Mill City Museum is not far from you is right next to the new Guthrie. You can walk to Loring Park and cross the street to The Walker Art Museum which also has an outdoor sculpture garden(free), oh, I think Thursday evenings you can get in The Walker for free, check out their website. You can take the light rail from downtown to the mall of america and back which is fun (for awhile anyways). I hope you have a nice visit.

Also, leaving St. Paul they have Mississippi boat cruises. The leaves are turning!
